And trust us, there is a lot to explore in New England and its six states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. We've done the homework for you and researched, visited and compiled a great list of our all around top family geared resorts, campgrounds and attractions in New England.

1. Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts: Jellystone Camp Resorts have it all, and luckily for us in New England, there are several sites to chose from. We love the Jellystone located in Glenn, New Hampshire, which overlooks the Ellis and Saco Rivers. From fun The Water Zone ( a fun water park with huge slides!) to swimming pools, endless outdoor attractions for the kids like mini golf, Gem mining and even laser tag, a stay at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is really the perfect family vacation. There is always something to do at Jellystone, the whole family and especially the kids will love it here!

2. Jay's Peak Resort: Jay's Peak is a four season resort located in beautiful Northern Vermont. Jay's Peak has something for the whole family. Well known for their massive indoor waterpark called The Pump House, this is the only indoor waterpark in Vermont! But there's more, Jay's Peak has golf and disc golf, restaurants, a rotating activity schedule and more. And of course, we can't forget to mention the fantastic skiing and snowboarding in the winter that only New England can provide!

Bonus-Jay's Peak even offers half and full day day care for those moments you might need a little adult time!

3. Story Land: An adorable theme park in New Hampshire with rides, shows, special events and dining options all based on stories. Get ready for the perfect fairy tale experience with character dinners, themed attractions and even tea time!

4. Santa's Village: Find your inner elf at Santa's Village, a Christmas-themed park in Jefferson, New Hampshire. Christmas in summertime anyone? Santa's Village is open year round! Consistently ranked among the top amusement parks in the country, Santa's Village offers Christmas themed rides and shows, scavenger hunts and so much more.


While you can't stay right on property at Santa's Village, their website lists a ton of close by lodging options here.

5. Great Wolf Lodge : Get your wolf ears on and experience the indoor water park at Great Wolf lodge, open 365 days per year! Great Wolf Lodge is a playground for kids, with arcades, mini golf, and kids yoga, arts and crafts, dance parties and more. There are even special characters that roam around the resort. With themed accommodations and resort dining, Great Wolf Lodge ticks all the boxes for the whole family.

6. Sandy Pines Glamping : In between a hotel stay and camping is glamping, a more luxorious form of camping with nicer accomodations than traditional tent camping. Glamping is a seriously fun adventure for the whole family. Sandy Pines Glamping, located in the serene town of Kennebunkport, Maine, is a wonderful glamping camp ground with gorgeous glamps including Family Safari Tents and Family Camp cottages.


Sandy Pines offers many activities including SUP and kayaking, kids arts and crafts. They even have a heated saltwater pool, lawn games and bikes for rent.


Sandy Pines also puts on special celebrations during certain weekends throughout the year, like National S’Mores Weekend in August and Spooky Pines & The Grand Funale in October.
